Hollywood, FL
Community First Project brought no-cost, high-impact training to the officers of the Hollywood, FL police department. This course was designed to prepare participants for the realities they face in the field, with instruction focused on active shooter response, de-escalation tactics, and critical incident management. The goal is simple: give officers the tools and confidence to make fast, informed decisions when lives are on the line.
The training goes beyond theory. Officers work through hands-on scenarios that sharpen their skills, strengthen decision-making under pressure, and create strategies they can bring back to their departments. The result is not just stronger individual readiness, but safer communities as a whole.
For many agencies, training of this caliber would never be within reach due to tight budgets. That’s where Community First Project—and the generosity of supporters—makes a difference. By covering the costs, we ensure that every officer has access to life-saving education, no matter the size or resources of their department.
Looking ahead, our mission remains clear: to expand training opportunities and close the gap that exists in law enforcement education. Together with our supporters, we’re helping officers be better prepared and communities be better protected.
