Eight Police Departments in Connecticut Complete Community First Project Training
In Connecticut, officers from eight different law enforcement agencies trained side by side to strengthen their skills and prepare for the realities they face in the field.
Community First Project provided no-cost, multi-day instruction focused on active shooter response, de-escalation tactics, and critical incident management. This hands-on training helps officers make fast, informed decisions during the moments that matter most.
For many departments, training like this isn’t within reach due to limited budgets. That’s where Community First—and supporters like you—step in. Your contributions make it possible to deliver life-saving education that equips officers and protects communities.
When officers are prepared, communities are safer.
Thank you to Renee DiNino and WFSB News for helping share the impact of this mission and raising awareness about the importance of proper training. You can find the interview with the Community First Project team by clicking the link here.
