Building Readiness: Advanced Critical Incident Training in Newton, Massachusetts

Community First Project led a week-long critical incident training in Newton, Massachusetts. Officers from Newton PD, Weston PD, Quincy PD, and Needham PD participated in the program, which used scenario-based exercises led by Navy SEAL instructors.

The training put officers through realistic active shooter situations and other critical incidents. Participants practiced tactical responses, team coordination, and communication under pressure. The scenarios required quick decision-making and the ability to work together effectively when it matters most.

This type of training gives officers the skills and confidence they need to handle real emergencies. Better-trained officers mean safer outcomes for both law enforcement and the communities they serve. The program helps departments prepare their teams for high-stakes situations while building the trust communities need in their police force.
